Vintage Industrial Crouse-Hinds Vaporgard Luminary

Vintage aluminum Crouse-Hinds Vaporgard Luminary with fluted tempered glass globe. This industrial light was originally used in tunnels or exteriors where excluding dirt, moisture, and/or chemical vapors was required or where vibrations or rough usage was anticipated. It has been modified into a hanging lantern that can be used for interior or exterior lighting. It accepts 1 standard base bulb (400 watts maximum). The Crouse-Hinds Company was one of the first to manufacture and install timed and integrated traffic signals in the early 1920’s and specialized in industrial lighting. This vintage industrial hanging lantern adds a touch of authentic industrial charm to any space, blending historical significance with practical lighting needs.

Crouse-Hinds, established in 1897 in Syracuse, New York, is renowned for its industrial lighting solutions and was among the pioneers in manufacturing timed and integrated traffic signals in the early 1920s.
