Disclosure

Items for sale at PlaceMakers Inc. are in general all reclaimed (previously installed) from businesses and residences in the San Francisco Bay area,
with some exceptions.  As such, we will attempt to accurately assess the condition of all items and materials according to these conditions:

NEW: A brand new item from the manufacturer

NEAR-MINT: An item that appears to be NEW but may be missing the original packaging etc…

EXCELLENT: An item that shows only slight blemishing.

VERY-GOOD: The item may show some light marks or scratches, possibly small nicks in the paint.

GOOD: The item shows general wear with scratches and scuffs from use.

FAIR: Item shows heavy wear and marks throughout.  

Scale rating applies to cosmetic appearance – all items we sell are tested when feasible and are functioning properly. 

Missing parts and functional defects will be disclosed in all listings and at time of sale.

In compliance with California Proposition 65: Some of the materials for sale here contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.

General Return Policy

  • Merchandise returned within 10 days is subject to a 20% restock fee. 
  • After 30 days a donation receipt can be provided.  
  • Restock fee will be waived only due to inaccurate disclosure, at PlaceMakers discretion.
  • PlaceMakers items are previously used items and are sold “as is” with no warranty unless otherwise stated. The customer is responsible for verifying condition, dimensions, code compliance or other specifications.
  • Purchased merchandise may be held here at our shop by discretion for a 10 calendar days maximum. After 10 days, a storage fee will be applied.
  • Custom orders are not returnable or refundable

Online Shopping:

  • All General Return Policies apply
  • Shipping charges are not refundable. 
  • If an item is damaged in shipping, please let us know within 24 hours of receipt of the item. 
  • To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it. 
  • If approved, you will be refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days of receipt of returned item.
  • Proof of purchase required.
  • Returns on sale items or gift cards not accepted.
