1904 JL Mott imperial fireclay, side drain outlet, pedestal bathtub. The interior glazing is in excellent original condition with remarkable sheen. There is a marvelous fine craquelure throughout the glaze, as you would find in fine antique china, appropriate to the age of the item. The pedestal is glazed and in the same condition as the interior. The exterior sides are raw, unglazed fireclay which has been painted pink at some point. The paint could be easily removed and the sides repainted or left raw. One of the finest examples of this kind of tub we’ve ever seen. Reclaimed from Le Petite Trianon, a premier residence and San Francisco Landmark #95.
